1. Who this notice applies to

This Privacy Notice explains how TemplateSignal by EfficiencyNest handles personal data in connection with account creation, dashboard usage, webhook ingestion, CSV imports, notifications, support, and billing.

It applies to creator account holders, prospective customers, and people whose personal data may appear in sales event data sent into the service, such as customer email addresses included in Notion Marketplace payloads or CSV files.

2. Data we collect

We collect account and profile data such as your email address, authentication identifiers, subscription status, billing references, and linked Notion account metadata where available.

We also process creator-submitted sales event data, which may include template names, locale, platform source, customer email addresses, coupon codes, timestamps, purchase values, refund events, CSV import records, webhook forwarding settings, and notification preferences.

3. How we use personal data

We use personal data to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, calculate dashboard metrics, deliver webhook ingestion and forwarding, send sales notifications, manage subscriptions and billing, troubleshoot issues, and respond to support requests.

We may also use service logs and limited operational metadata to prevent abuse, detect failures, and improve product reliability. We do not sell personal data.

4. Legal bases

Where GDPR or similar law applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and consent where consent is specifically required.

If you submit personal data belonging to others into TemplateSignal, you are responsible for ensuring you have an appropriate legal basis and have met any transparency obligations that apply to you.

5. Third-party services and processors

TemplateSignal relies on third-party service providers, including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, Stripe for subscription billing, Brevo for transactional emails, Notion-related integrations for account linking and event sources, and Vercel for hosting. These providers may process personal data on our behalf or as independent controllers depending on the context.

Where you configure webhook forwarding, data included in forwarded events is sent to the destination you provide. You are responsible for the lawfulness and security of that destination.

6. Data retention

We retain account and service data for as long as needed to provide TemplateSignal, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

The product currently supports deleting CSV-imported data separately and deleting the entire account. Full account deletion removes creator-linked application data and initiates paid-plan cancellation. Some billing or operational records may be retained where required by law or necessary for fraud prevention, security, or bookkeeping.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of personal data where portability rights apply.

If you are in the EU or EEA, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for securing any webhook destinations you configure.

9. International transfers

Some service providers used by TemplateSignal may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers or otherwise required by applicable law.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The latest version will always be published on this page with an updated effective date.
